Educators

WANT TO EXCITE YOUR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS ABOUT READING?

We do, too. Earlier this year we started conversations with educators nationwide about how we can help them better connect students with the world of storytelling. They all said the same thing: introduce students to gripping books and then equip educators with lesson plans to go with them.

So that’s what we did. We partnered with a team of top-notch educators with decades of frontline experience to develop a “starter” three-unit packet flexible enough to be used by public and private educators alike, yet focused enough to meet the high standards placed on today’s classroom. All based on Ted Dekker’s widely popular novel Black. We have it right here and it’s free. All you have to do is download it.

Have you created your own lesson plans based on Ted’s books?

We want to know! Email us to submit your teacher’s guide and lesson plans. We are already working on a system that will enable teachers to share with each other.
