BOOKS 4, 5 and 6 OF THE COMPLETE DRAGONS COLLECTION, SEQUEL TO BOOKS 1, 2 and 3 in the series AND THEY FOUND DRAGONS.

It has been written that there is no fear in love and that perfect love casts out all fear.

Welcome to an age in the not so distant future in which fear has personified itself as dragons whose wrath can only be avoided through loyalty. The light of Love is a distant relic. Into this world comes a boy named Noah who has heard the ancient teachings of Yeshua which claim that only love can cast out fear.

But if young Noah is to discover this way of love and bring light into the darkness, he will face many perils. Only through grasping the power of love over fear can the world find itself in the grace and peace promised so long ago.

The Dragons Among Us is one of those rare stories that, although written for Middle Grade readers ages 9 and up, will touch the hearts of adults as deeply. Join us in a thrilling ride that will forever change the way readers confront the challenges all encounter in their journey through this life. A must read for all ages.

The Dragons Among Us is a trilogy which occurs twenty-five years after its prequel, And They Found Dragons. Rest assured that each trilogy is self-contained and reading them in order isn’t crucial. However, the best experience will be gained with reading the And they found Dragons trilogy first, followed by The Dragons Among Us trilogy.

Overview:

Book 4 - Son of the Light Bringer (Paperback, 192 pages)

Over twenty years have passed since the red dragons in And They Found Dragons were vanquished by Jack, the boy who followed the light to defeat the darkness. Jack’s son, Noah, is now turning fourteen and lives with a few hundred souls who have seen no other humans or dragons for over twenty years. But all of that changes when Noah embarks on his Passage, a three week journey into the wild on his own. When Noah is taken captive, he discovers that dragons thrive beyond the borders of Zion, and they rule over two warring tribes who will destroy Zion unless he can stop them.

Book 5 - Daughter of the Alchemist (Paperback, 168 pages)

Held captive by the Alchemist tribe controlled by dragons, Noah finds his long lost sister, who is now an alchemist and worshiper of dragons. He must save her or die trying. But she has no interest in being saved. Worse still, the ruthless enemies of the Alchemists, known as Scalers, seek to destroy Noah and the tribe of Alchemists who have taken him captive. Noah’s only hope now is to find the Silver Dragons who once helped his father, Jack, overcome the darkness.

Book 6 - Children of Zion (Paperback, 168 pages)

In the epic showdown, Noah’s people, the children of Zion, find themselves trapped between two warring tribes of dragon worshipers, both set on the destruction of the city of light, Zion. Although still only a boy, the fate of his family and his people rests firmly on Noah’s shoulders. He must step out of his father’s shadows and overcome the darkness by slaying the king of dragons as the tribes plunge into battle. But slaying the dragon king requires Noah to be in the light, and that light seems nowhere to be found.

It took... A Week and a Half

I purchased this for my 11 year old on recommendation and she burned through the whole series in less than 2 weeks. Her immediate response was, "Is there any more?" Luckily for her, her birthday is coming up and she'll be gifted another set. I've decided to throw this series in my personal rotation of books myself and started the first book recently. About halfway through the first book and I do appreciate it's progression so far. It is refreshing to see characters being built up in a Christ-like manner while at the same time something that doesn't seem "preachy".

To quote C.S. Lewis: “I am almost inclined to set it up as a canon that a children’s story which is enjoyed only by children is a bad children’s story. The good ones last.”
