Kara Dekker is the daughter of New York Times best selling author Ted Dekker. Preschool teacher by day and writer by night, she is passionate about kids and the worlds they create.

The Dream Traveler's Quest is her debut young reader's series. She is excited to begin her writing career by collaborating with her father and sharing in the world he created over a decade ago with The Circle Series. Kara lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and two furball cats!

My 12 year old daughter love this series! She doesn’t always like to read. I’ve been looking for a Christian book, series for her age group and I saw this advertised. I’m glad I found it! She can’t wait to even share what she read with me.

I bought the set of 4 Quest books for my 7 yr. Old grandtwins birthdays. I had the pleasure of reading them the first chapter of Book 1 last night and was as enthralled with the story line as much as they were. Many questions came up which made the opportunity to go deeper into if they’d experience anything like the young hero in this book or other situations that came up. We’re looking forward to reading the next chapters to see how it all turns out.
Very well written and a page turner for sure.

I have not read these but I purchased them for my 11 year old grandaughter who lives in a different state. She loves to read fantasy, which often does not have a godly 'flavor'. I purchased the dragon series 1st and she loved them so much that she immediately started reading the Quest series the minute she opened the box!
It is a blessing to this Nana that I can supply her with her genre in books that point her to her God and faith.

Enjoyed reading with my 14 yr old grandson. He has a short attention span but once we started reading it kept his attention.?Will get the next in this series for when he is here again.

MUST READ!!

this was one of my favorite book series ever when I was 12!! definitely a must read for ages 7 and up. it teaches valuable lessons about God and is an overall amazing story!! it is relatable and teaches how to overcome fear and lots of other great stuff. great christian read!!!
